BACHATA ClASSES
Bachata is a genre of Latin American music that originated in the Dominican Republic during the first half of the 20th century, with strong Spanish influences. The basic dance sequence is performed in a full 8-count, consisting of three steps followed by a tap or a variation of the step.
SALSA CLASSES
Salsa is a Latin dance that evolved from a fusion of Puerto Rican, Dominican, and Cuban dances. As a dancer shifts their weight by stepping into the middle to achieve a 50/50 balance, the upper body remains level and is nearly unaffected by the weight changes.
DANCE TEAMS
Directed by Josh Hernandez and Sheree Watson, KCTouch is part of the Worldwide Island Touch Dance Co., with all choreographies created by Jorge “Ataca” and Tanja “La Alemana.” Join KCTouch to learn and perform Salsa and Bachata both locally and across the country.
